Stephen G. Kliegerman's long-standing career in real estate has earned him an esteemed reputation from colleagues and clients alike. As president of Brown Harris stevens Development Marketing (BHSDM), Kliegerman oversees the firm's operations, direction and management of new business, client relations, pre-development planning, marketing, and sales.

Along with his unmatched team of sales and marketing professionals, Stephen has built BHSDM into a market leader through record-setting sales, unparalleled client service and creative marketing. Stephen has overseen more than $6 billion in sales representing over 5,000 units in the New York City area over the last five years and currently has more than $1.7 billion in the pipeline for 2014. Frequently sought out by the city's top residential developers to consult on projects in every stage of development – from pre-development planning to designing turnaround strategies – Stephen has worked with prominent developers such as Toll Brothers City Living, The Stahl Organization, L+M Development Partners, BFC Partners and The Gotham Organization.

Stephen is widely quoted in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Post and Crain's New York Business for his market knowledge and broad range of experience. A graduate of The George Washington University and a Licensed Real Estate Broker since 1989, Kliegerman previously owned and operated his own real estate brokerage, management and consulting firm, Herbert H. Kliegerman Associates, Inc. In 1998, the firm, which specialized in the management, sale and leasing of co-ops, condos, and lofts in Downtown Manhattan, merged with Halstead Property.

With more than 25 years of sales, marketing and branding experience, Stephen has established himself as a true professional and a great leader in the brokerage community, continually exemplifying integrity, fairness and credibility. He was the recipient of the 2012 Henry Forster Award for lifetime achievement. A highly-engaged member and leader of REBNY, for which he currently serves as Co-Chair of New Development Committee, Kliegerman has previously served twice as Chairman of Residential Ethics Committees and four terms as Chairman of the Downtown Committee. He also serves on the advisory board for The George Washington University's Center for Real Estate and Urban Analysis and was recently asked to join the Board of Directors of Common Ground, a not-for-profit organization that aims to end homelessness through developing affordable housing for vulnerable New York families and individuals.
