She studied at the University of Padua in 1988, graduated Cum Laude from Boston University with a degree in Economics in 1989, lived in London in 1990, and has traveled extensively throughout the world.

MariaElena lives with her husband and two young children on the Upper East Side. Her husband and his family own Fresco by Scotto and Fresco on the Go and are featured monthly on the NBC Today Show. She and her family take advantage of everything New York offers including parks, theatres, museums, and restaurants in all neighborhoods.
