Bushwick

In the northern portion of Brooklyn, running from Flushing Avenue to Broadway to Conway Street and the Cemetery of the Evergreens, Bushwick's name is derived from a Dutch word defined as "little town in the woods" and was originally settled by German immigrants who began building breweries.

Bushwick offers art galleries, performance spaces, eateries and bars nearly everywhere you look. The 1.29-acre Bushwick Park has a large public pool, ball courts and a playground. The 30-acre Bushwick Inlet Park has a multi-purpose field for lacrosse, rugby, hockey, football and soccer, several playgrounds, a viewing platform and quick access to the waterfront.

Housing Stock: Lofts created from converted warehouses, apartments for sale or rent, townhouses, and single-family homes and many new developments.
