Carel Corcoran has been with Brown Harris Stevens longer than any other employee. She is a Senior Vice President, Managing Director, and was Director of Residential Sales for 9 years. She has won the Brown Harris Stevens Broker of the Year Award, and in the Annual Meeting of 2005 she was the first recipient honored to receive The President's Award which recognizes a broker who has displayed the utmost professionalism and contribution to the firm, colleagues, and the industry in general.

She attended The Brearley School and graduated from The Garrison Forest School where she showed early leadership skills as president of student government. She then attended Katherine Gibbs and The Sorbonne in Paris.

Among her many accomplishments are sales she has made to such varied New Yorkers as Henry Kissinger, William H. Donaldson, Dan W. Lufkin, Meryl Streep, and five members of the Rockefeller family. In addition, she represented Lady Chaplin and Lady Harrison, the widows of Charlie Chaplin and Rex Harrison, on the sale of their apartments, and during her long and successful career with Brown Harris Stevens she has also represented the CEO's and presidents of companies ranging from Revlon to R.C.A. to J. P. Morgan.

Carel Corcoran lives on the Upper East Side in the Carnegie Hill Historic District.
