David Kornmeier is the youngest person to have the distinction of being a Vice President/Director at Brown Harris Stevens.
Coming into the real estate field directly out of college, David has spent his entire professional career at Brown Harris Stevens, being mentored by the finest and most established brokers in Manhattan. Working his way up starting as an Assistant, then Sales Associate, to Associate broker and now as a Vice President/Director, David has taken the time to carefully build his experience, integrating the knowledge and skills from this elite brokerage community, and thoughtfully selecting those which he applies to his own unique practice.
David specializes in townhouse, small building and apartment sales, and has set several price records in multiple neighborhoods during his 9 year tenure.

In 2009, David sold and closed the 13,000 sq ft, 25' wide Barclay Mansion at 5 East 78th Street. Designed by C. P.H. Gilbert, who also designed the neighboring Fletcher mansion at 79th and Fifth Avenue, the limestone property was originally built for the socially important Mr. and Mrs. Reginald G. Barclay in 1904.
David has closed two multi-million dollar exclusive listings at the Time Warner Center for $5300/foot and $5100/foot.
David also set an Upper West Side mid-block townhouse price record by $1,300,000. The 18' wide home in the West 80's, sold for nearly 20% over its substantial asking price, and that sale still remains as the highest sale price ever achieved for a townhouse on the Upper West Side, between Columbus Avenue and West End Avenue.
David has set a price record for the highest block sale price for a Harlem townhouse on 143rd Street, and a Village apartment at 50 East 8th Street.
Buyers appreciate David's value-added approach to the property search, and rely on his comprehensive knowledge of zoning regulations, landmark policy, serious vs. minor violations, landlord/tenant laws, estate matters, and renovation/layout choices, to inform their decision.
David is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
He has already begun his own investment portfolio, acquiring condominium units on the Upper West Side. Growing up in Chevy Chase, Maryland, David attended The Sidwell Friends School in Washington D.C. for eight years. He is a graduate of Carleton College in Minnesota, where he studied Behavioral Neuroscience with a specialization in sleep and dreaming.
He is an avid sailor, basketball and hockey player who enjoys working out at the Reebok Sports Club, and climbing mountains around the world.
