Jane Rothchild was born in New York City with real estate running through her veins. It seemed like the natural thing to do when she got her first salesperson's license in 1969 and rented apartments each weekend in the family buildings.

After a successful career as a television producer earning two consecutive Emmy Awards, she joined William B. May Real Estate Company and made more money her first year there than she ever had in television, thus her fate was cast and real estate was far more rewarding on many levels.

In 2006 Jane returned to New York after living out west and selling homes in New Mexico and Arizona. She did onsite sales at The Hudson Condominiums on West 60th Street and once that building sold out, Jane joined Halstead Properties where she quickly earned Gold Circle membership.

Jane joined Brown Harris Stevens in March 2009, attracted by its fine reputation for best of service and quality of performance. Jane serves both buyers and sellers with the utmost attention and care, making each feel thrilled and satisfied with the end result, and her many referrals attest to this.

Jane Rothchild is a graduate of New York University with a BA in Sociology. She is a member of The Real Estate Board of New York, the New York Audubon Society, The Central Park Conservancy, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, The New York Historical Society, The Jewish Museum, The Manhattan Theater Club, The Roundabout Theatre, and New York Women in Film and Television. She has studied Spanish, French, and German which comes in handy with her visits abroad, and Jane’s passions are travel, theater and everything New York has to offer!
