Jill has consistently been one of Brown Harris Stevens’ (originally Halstead Real Estate) top agents since she started in the business in 1999. In fact, in 2007 and 2008 she was Halstead’s top agent in gross sales out of the entire company, and year after year Jill is consistently one of the top agents of the firm’s Upper West Side office. Jill attributes her real estate success to her persistence, high energy, and commitment to her clients and customers. A testament to her success for her clients is the fact that the majority of Jill’s business comes from referrals from past clients and customers!
Jill is not only a real estate agent, but also a real estate investor. She has bought, renovated, and sold multiple properties throughout Manhattan, and is currently directing the building of 21 jewel box homes around her horse farm in CT, where she can be found taking care of her animals on the weekend. Being in Litchfield country on weekends also offers the advantage of networking her NYC clients’ listings in one of the most sophisticated areas, and over the years this extra exposure has served her and her clients well!
Jill is also passionate about her many charities which include her record-breaking annual toy drive for The Salvation Army, benefiting underprivileged children; Companion Pet Rescue (CPR) which rescues 30-40 puppies a week from Tennessee and brings them to the northeast for adoption,; and her involvement in working with great causes that support healthy living for children such as Dr. David Katz’s Turn The Tide organization, which focuses on stemming the tide of childhood obesity.
Jill grew up in Northern Virginia and moved to New York City over 20 years ago. She has lived throughout the city and has intimate knowledge of most Manhattan neighborhoods, but now calls the Upper West Side home, where she has lived for the past 13 years. Jill enjoys sailing in the British Virgin Islands—where she earned her captain’s license with Moorings—taking care of her animals, and of course closing a real estate deal—large or small! Jill has been interviewed on CNN, the NBC morning news, PBS, and CH 11. She was a featured panelist on Halstead's “Home Sweet Home” television show and a guest broker on NBC's "Open House.” She is regularly interviewed for articles in Reuters, the NY Post, NY Magazine, Avenue Magazine, The Real Deal, The New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal.
She was selected as one of the nation’s “Top 250 Realtors” for 2016 and ranked one of the “Best Real Estate Agents in America” for 2016 based on individual sales volume as published in REAL Trends/Wall Street Journal survey!
