A Bronx-born-and-raised daughter of the Caribbean, Joan is proud to be from the borough that birthed a cultural revolution. Growing up, however, she found herself all over the city. She remembers Sunday dinners in Harlem in the fall and winters at Macy’s on 34th Street. Easter celebrations in the spring brought her to Queens, and of course, she has fond memories of open fire hydrants spewing water in the Bronx.
For over 20 years, Joan worked as an editor, writer, and salesperson licensing thousands of images. She built a licensing division from scratch that went on to make over a million dollars in sales. After this success, Joan has entered the world of real estate, following a passion for spaces she’s had since she was a child. Her long-held interest in structure, value, visuals, quality – and how it all fits together – drives her passion for real estate. She enjoys listening to a client’s needs, understanding what they’re looking for in a dream space, and helping them achieve it.
Joan began her work in real estate assisting Ayo Haynes, who was recognized in 2017 for having the highest rental sales companywide. Since then, Joan has purchased and managed several properties. “Allow me to take you on a journey to find your ideal space,” Joan says. “No search is too big or too small. Let’s do it together!”
Joan received her Bachelor’s Degree from Swarthmore College. Aside from real estate, she is passionate about music, singing, and food.
