Meet John

Fifteen years’ experience in Manhattan real estate has given John an acute understanding of what is involved in buying and selling property in New York, particularly as it relates to the co-op and condominium process. Both buyers and sellers have appreciated his ability to bring even the most complicated deals to fruition; the drastic changes in prices during this period have enabled him to recognize and (sometimes!) anticipate the underlying trends in market conditions.

Although the majority of his business has been conducted in sales, John had, prior to coming to Brown Harris Stevens, managed the rental/sales division of a boutique Greenwich Village real estate office, training new agents and closing deals, giving him a full understanding of the rental business, as well as furthering his problem-resolving skills. He is particularly adept at giving sellers honest and accurate estimates of their property's true worth, and designing a marketing strategy that best suits their needs, whether a Fifth Avenue penthouse or a walk-up studio. For prospective purchasers, his knowledge of available listings and the co-op/condo requirements, combined with his ability to focus on a buyer's aesthetic, practical, and financial needs, are unsurpassed.

John studied history, philosophy, and politics at Lancaster University in England and is a keen student of the history and culture of New York City.
