Caroline McDonald

With over twenty years of experience in positioning luxury brands, Caroline's experience spans brand management, marketing and communications strategy, public relations and agency management.

Growing up in Washington D.C with a former New Yorker/interior designer mother - Caroline always knew she wanted a career working with brand story-telling. A graduate of the University of Virginia with a B.S. in English, Caroline first worked at luxury publications including American Express Publishing, Esquire and Conde Nast (at CN Traveler and Vogue) building marketing and event strategies. There she partnered with countless luxury brands from Cartier, to Ferragamo, BMW and Range Rover to Rosewood Resorts, Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton to create unique marketing experiences.

Following Conde Nast she spent four years working for Stefano Tonchi, Editor and Chief of The New York Time Style Magazine where she managed the brand marketing and public relations strategy for the growing luxury magazine. This included negotiating and managing partnerships with esteemed global cultural events including Art Basel Miami, Milan Furniture Fair, Design Miami and Tribeca Film Festival as well as creating events with celebrity influencers at the Golden Globes, NY, Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks as well as managing all PR and event agencies. On the cusp of media's digital evolution Caroline's luxury marketing background evolved as Senior Director, Public Relations and Events for Saks Fifth Avenue where she spent four years crafting corporate communications strategy and events initiatives for several categories of luxury fashion and beauty business. Caroline came to BHSDM from Coach, Inc. where she served as Senior Director, Corporate Communications during the company's historic 75th Anniversary year.

She is a lover of the English language, passionate about creative thinking and creating the ever important emotional connection between a brand and it's buyer. Caroline is an avid tennis player, life-long equestrian and lover of the outdoors. She lives with her daughter, husband and animal menagerie in Bronxville, NY.
