Hamptons high season is well underway! Be it the pristine beaches, charming downtown areas, or robust array of social functions, there are plenty of reasons to escape to the East End during summertime.

Known for their white sands, crystal-clear waters, and high dunes, the beaches of the Hamptons are easily among the best in the country. To help plan your summer getaway, we asked our BHS Hamptons Agents and executives for their recommendations for the area. Here is what they had to say.

Main Beach

East Hampton Village

"Nothing compares to Main Beach in East Hampton Village. It’s an artist’s inspiration and a sunbather’s delight. The expansive pavilion with tables and chairs provides the perfect space to enjoy an outdoor picnic. There is also a wonderful cafe to cater your choice of appetizers/snacks and entrees." — Agent Aubri Peele

Peele added that Main Beach also has a shop that sells all the necessities, including sunscreen, hats, toys and games. Be sure to visit on Tuesdays during the summer season for exciting live music events.

Louse Point

Springs

Agents Timothy O'Connor and Michael Petersohn both highly recommended Louse Point. "It is a truly beautiful, small peninsula," said O'Connor. "One side is the sandy beach along expansive Accabonac Harbor, perfect for kayaking and paddleboarding, with small islands and salt marshes, tons of local fauna, and recently bald eagles. On the other is Gardiner’s Bay, also with a wide sandy beach, with views all the way to the North Fork and Montauk, and Gardiner’s Island."

"My favorite spot for an afternoon picnic on the beach is Louse Point," said Petersohn. "The natural terrain protects your rom the wind, and children love playing in the sugar-white sand collecting hermit crabs." Looking for a to-go meal to enjoy on the beach? Petersohn recommends Stewart's Seafood in nearby Amagansett, which has a great selection of ready-to-go treats, including the popular smoked crab dip.

Kirk Park Beach

Montauk

"I like to to recommend Kirk Park Beach, especially to visitors. It has a parking lot, public restrooms, and plenty of lifeguards." — BHS Hamptons Marketing Director Erik Davidowicz

Davidowicz also explained that Kirk Park is one of the only beaches in the Hamptons that is adjacent to a village center, as most of the towns in the area are more inland. This means you can easily walk to shops, boutiques and delis, restaurants and the only supermarket in Montauk, IGA, which is located right at the foot of the dunes.
