With Fall and Halloween approaching, there are plenty of holiday-themed venues and events to explore this year throughout The Bronx. Here are two happening throughout the month that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

'Pumpkin Nights' at the Bronx Zoo

Happening on Tuesdays and Thursdays through October 29th, over 5,000 animal-themed jack-o-lanterns will illuminate the grounds of the Bronx Zoo. The evenings will also include fascinating, informative discussions about animal behavior after dark, as well as games, carving demonstrations, and treats for all!

New York Botanical Garden’s “ Fall-O-Ween” Festivities

The NYBG has a wealth of holiday happenings to enjoy, including famous pumpkin carver Adam Bierton's popular demonstrations, happening every weekend throughout the month! Other events include a pumpkin carving face-off (October 8) and the frightfully fun "Spooky Garden Nights" (October 21 and 28), which see the grounds transformed into scary yet kid-friendly displays, with treats to collect on the way. Bierton, a winner of the popular Food Network series Halloween Wars, will also carve a GIANT pumpkin the weekend of the 27th.
