Coney Island

Coney Island

A residential, beach and theme park neighborhood on the Atlantic Ocean, Coney Island has been world-famous for its amusement parks since 1880.

Nathan's Famous reigns supreme since 1916 (as does its annual hot dog eating contest) and many locals and tourists make their way to the New York Aquarium for Wildlife Conservation all year long. One of the oldest aquariums in America, it showcases more than 300 species of marine life, including beluga whales, bottlenose dolphins, walruses and seahorses.

Home to the Brooklyn Cyclones (a minor league baseball team of the New York Mets) the games sell out throughout the summer and newer amusement parks are now adjacent to some of the older parks.

Housing Stock: Large single-family homes, a luxury oceanfront condo complex, waterfront condos, pre-war co-op apartments and townhouses.
