Fort Greene is roughly bounded by Atlantic Avenue to Nassau Street and Flatbush to Washington Avenues. Dotted with beautiful churches like St. Michael-St. Edward (a twin-towered Catholic church that looks like a medieval French castle), this neighborhood boasts tree-lined streets filled with brownstones and historic buildings.

DeKalb Avenue is a popular retail street with great restaurants and boutiques. Designated as Brooklyn's first park in 1847, Fort Greene Park offers tennis courts, barbecue grills, ball courts, fitness paths, playgrounds, nature centers, dog-friendly areas and spray showers.
