Alex has sold, rented, and managed luxury properties in the many hundreds of millions of dollars. With over 40 years of brokerage experience, he is an influential professional who is well-informed of the ins and outs of the buildings he serves and their rules. In this market, Alex has the advantage of being an insider. When managing, Alex is a meticulously involved expert prolific with all classes of properties, from investments and rentals to infrequently used pied-a-terre units.
Highly awarded, Alex has achieved great success in his career selling hundreds of new luxury developments on both the east side and west side of Manhattan including The Vanderbilt, The Copley, The Monarch, The Park Belvedere, The Fifth Avenue Tower, and a multitude of investment properties in the Hamptons and Florida.
In his extensive development work, Alex became a pricing strategist versed with the subtleties of real estate valuations at all levels of the market. He has also served as a highly respected managing broker in executive positions with several of the city's largest real estate firms. Alex is a truly innovative and fully involved broker with a wide understanding of human emotions and the value of real estate. He thinks the apartment someone lives in is one of life’s most important investments.
Alex has owned and renovated properties in the city and on Long Island and has developed close relations with local trades, architects, developers, designers, photographers, and building managers. This makes him a "one-stop broker" able to respond to all his clients’ real estate needs.
Alex holds an Engineering Degree in Geology, a Master's in Journalism, and studied International Business and Finance at NYU and Modern Psychoanalysis at the Institute for the Center for Group Studies. Alex is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and several philanthropic associations, which include serving as a patient relations volunteer for Mount Sinai Hospital.
While residential real estate is Alex’s professional forte, he also personally embraces the rich lifestyle that Manhattan offers. He resides with his wife on the Upper East Side and enjoys many favorite pastimes, here, in the Hamptons, and on Cape Cod as a marathon runner, swimmer, and a serious early-morning cyclist.
Alex believes that today’s real estate world evolves toward luxury and elegance and he believes that "properties at all levels must be empowered by good style."
