Upon graduation from Columbia Law School, Diane clerked for Judge Dudley B. Bonsal, United States District Court Judge for the Southern District of New York, and then practiced law in Manhattan for ten years. Diane created and taught the nation’s first “Women and the Law” course, initially at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and then at New York University School of Law.

At Brown Harris Stevens since 2000, Diane has represented sellers and buyers of luxury cooperative and condominium apartments throughout Manhattan, including on Fifth Avenue, Park Avenue, Central Park West, Central Park South, and Riverside Drive, and has sold townhouses, uptown and downtown, at record prices. Her customers attest to her knowledge of the real estate market, responsiveness to customer needs, attention to detail, sound judgment, tenacity, professionalism, and her discretion.

Diane’s experience, as well as her extensive relationships with many civic and business leaders, has enabled her to become a highly successful broker at Brown Harris Stevens. Diane’s legal background is of immense value as she serves her customers, particularly in connection with landmark commission proceedings, construction and renovation issues, and sensitive negotiations. As an accomplished author, with a book published by Random House, as well as numerous articles in professional journals and popular magazines, Diane uses her writing skills to create superior marketing materials for her customers’ properties.

During the fifteen years that her husband, Bob Abrams, was New York State Attorney General, Diane campaigned for him throughout the state. Diane and Bob, both native New Yorkers, live on the Upper East Side, where they raised their two daughters, Rachel and Becky.
