Things I love about Greenwich -- Summer Edition

Greenwich is a beautiful place year-round, but there’s something truly magical about summer here. The town comes alive with energy, color, and activity.

While I often post about the beach and my love for all water-related things, there’s so much more to explore and enjoy. The Greenwich Library is a cultural hub during the summer, offering a rich calendar of events—from author talks and film nights to children’s programs and the Flinn Art Museum. Be sure to check their online schedule for something that sparks your interest.

For equestrian enthusiasts or anyone who enjoys a bit of upscale people-watching, the Greenwich Polo Matches are a summer must. You can go low-key with a picnic on the lawn or indulge in VIP seating with cabanas and easy access to the chic Pony Bar.

(Side note: If you're craving that serene backcountry lifestyle, take a look at my listing at 9 Cameron Drive—a stunning property with a pool, tennis court, guest cottage, and barn, all set on 4+ peaceful acres.

I also love live music and make a point of attending the outdoor summer concerts hosted at Roger Sherman Park, Binney Park, The Bush-Holley House, and Tod’s Point. These concerts are relaxed, bring-your-own-blanket events featuring truly talented performers. They’re the perfect way to unwind on a summer evening.

Let’s not forget the incredible restaurant scene. Greenwich has no shortage of top-notch dining, and summer means outdoor patios and sidewalk tables. There’s nothing better than sipping a coffee or cocktail while taking in the buzz of downtown. Two of my favorites are Orienta and Le Penguin—both located next to each other with fantastic fare and outdoor seating.

(Another side note: If walkability and convenience are high on your wishlist, check out my listing at 101 Lewis Street. These restaurants are literally just a block away—it doesn’t get much more “downtown easy” than that!)

So, what are your favorite summer activities in Greenwich? What do you love most about this town?

I’d love to hear from you. And if you’re not yet a local but curious about what makes Greenwich so special, let’s grab a coffee and take a stroll downtown—I’d be happy to show you around.
