Meet Barbara

Barbara Kasell has a long history in Manhattan real estate. She has lived in various parts of Manhattan for over 30 years and has a keen eye on the market. For Barbara, it’s been a labor of love for nearly 20 years working with customers who are buying, selling, or leasing residential and commercial properties.




A people person, Barbara prides herself in knowing how to bring about a meeting of the minds. Her warmth and sincerity, coupled with her knowledge of the real estate market, scores the highest marks from both buyers and sellers.




Barbara uses her years of expertise and knowledge to help her sellers and buyers exceed their goals. Sensitive and straightforward with her clients, Barbara feels emotional considerations as well as financial considerations are key in educating her clients in all aspects of the sales process. Her comprehensive knowledge of the market works to maximize every transaction. Her secret to success is her 24/7 commitment to getting the job done.




Prior to joining Brown Harris Stevens, Barbara was “Rookie of the Year” at Charles H. Greenthal & Company, and also a Heron Representative to The Real Estate Board of New York. She earned her place as one of Heron’s top producers, and the testimonials she received speak volumes about her.




Barbara holds a degree in Textile Design from FIT, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Hofstra University, and a Master’s Degree in Education.
An active fundraiser for a variety of charities and institutions, Barbara serves on the Boards of the Israel Cancer Research Fund and the Sisterhood of the Park East Synagogue. Barbara excels in various areas of sales, fundraising, and client relations.
