Meet Jacob "Jay Harran"

Born and raised in New York City, Jay loves sharing his passion for the city with others. A background in theater and as a business executive gives him a unique skill set that makes him a favorite among his clients. They know that their experiences will be professional and stress free, and that he can handle the toughest of negotiations.

Jay believes his success lies in listening to his clients and fulfilling their desires and needs. He understands the extraordinary process of choosing a home and helping to make that happen is his goal. All of this translates into someone who is a passionate, trustworthy, dedicated, loyal, and an understanding real estate partner.

A career in show business reflects his passion and determination. Jay has worked on Broadway and Off-Broadway, in film, and television. Having worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for many years, he dealt with people from all over the world. His love of languages and various cultures has honed his sense of diplomacy.

His 20 years as a sales manager in publishing confirmed his belief that the most important part of any business is relationships. Jay prides himself on having forged very strong bonds with his clients and colleagues over the years, culminating in very successful deals and transactions.

Jay attended the Performing Arts High School in Manhattan and received a B.A. in Theater Arts from Hofstra University. He speaks Italian fluently and has an understanding of Spanish and French. He also has a few words of many languages under his belt “because communicating is essential.” Jay enjoys running in Central Park, and going to the cinema, theater, opera, and concerts as often as possible and is an avid art collector.
