Janet is one of the hardest working brokers in New York City. Her success speaks for itself. We first met many years ago when my husband and I decided to move from the Upper West Side to SoHo. When we sold that loft, Janet was our listing broker and by targeting the space to specific customers, managed to get multiple offers on the property the first day on the market. When we moved from there to a condominium in the Astor Place area, Janet represented us as buyers. Several years later, when we sold the apartment, Janet’s efforts resulted in the apartment closing at what was then the highest recorded price for an apartment in that line. Presently, Janet is marketing our apartment in Midtown east, where she arranged for professional staging as well as a video as part of her marketing strategy. Over the years, our relationship has evolved from one of business to one of close friends. She is honest, her integrity is beyond reproach, and she is not afraid to tell it like it is. I first met Janet when she represented the seller when I bought at 2 Fifth Avenue. I remember being impressed by her professionalism and attention to detail. In fact, I felt that it was thanks to her, and her knowledge of the building, that made the purchase happen! Afterwards, over several years, she kept me "in the loop" regarding other properties at 2 Fifth, and we started to have the occasional coffee together, then lunch, and then our relationship developed into a true friendship with shared interests, artistic and other. When it came time to sell my apartment at 2 Fifth in anticipation of my move to Rome, of course I asked Janet to represent me, with a subsequent successful and rapid sale. When I left NYC, she treated me to a wonderful farewell lunch at Union Square Cafe. Since then we have stayed in touch, and I was happy to dine with her and her husband in Rome when they were travelling through a couple years ago. A true example of the perfect mix of a business and personal relationship. -
