Sumner Hatch

Sumner Wells Hatch is pleased to join Brown Harris Stevens, New York’s oldest and most prestigious real estate firm. He is working with top broker Jill Roosevelt.






A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Sumner worked for more than a decade as a photographer, master darkroom printer, and advisor to collectors of photographic art. As an artist, his work has been widely exhibited and is in public and private collections around the world. He brings to real estate a key sense of aesthetics, sharp negotiation skills, and a warm and affable demeanor that will make any transaction enjoyable.







A resident of Manhattan for over twenty years, Sumner has a keen interest in the history, character, and quality of the various communities that make up this remarkable city. Sumner has lived on the Upper East Side, Upper West Side, and Lower Manhattan, and maintains an art studio in Brooklyn; as a result, he is exceptionally familiar with a wide range of neighborhoods and markets. Having grown up in a family of real estate professionals, Sumner is thrilled to bring his passion and knowledge of architecture, design, and luxury real estate to Brown Harris Stevens.





When not working with clients, Sumner can be found in his studio, playing tennis, or at his summer home on Squam Lake in central New Hampshire.
