Off the Beaten Path: Hiking Trails to Explore in the Hudson Valley

By Liat Salama

"From taking a hike in the woods to passing waterfalls and views that will take your breath away, the Hudson Valley has a wealth of scenic trails to offer. On hot summer days, you can find me at High Falls, or strolling Poets Walk to the river or with a sketch pad up at Olana." – Nancy Felcetto, Brown Harris Stevens Broker and Area Expert

Kaaterskill Falls

With plenty of viewpoints and destinations, Kaaterskill Falls has been beloved by Hudson Valley locals for years.

Poets' Walk

A Rhinebeck staple that is perfect for an evening stroll.

Overlook Mountain Trail

Best for more experienced hikers, this trail is considered to be moderately challenging.

High Falls Conservation Area Loop

Though also moderately challenging, this trail can be completed in just under 40 minutes.
