Tis the season for giving and gifting. We’ve asked a few of our Hamptons Agents about their go-to gifts to give, and the standout gifts they’ve received!

Andrea Ackerman of the Bridgehampton Office brings the art of gifting to life. “I love the holiday season. It’s a time of creativity, trying to figure out the perfect gift for every person who is important to me.  In the past few years, my go-to source has been the Museum of Modern Art, also known as MOMA.  Scrolling through their merchandise, now and then, I come across an item that rings my bell, and I know that’s the perfect fit for a special person. There is a myriad of choices, and everything is of excellent quality.  Most are designed by famous artists and craftsmen. My 14-year-old granddaughter is getting a Polaroid camera, a throwback retro version. It offers instant gratification, and we know how 14-year-olds are. I have also ordered, for various family members, beautiful multi-colored glass salad utensils, a flask, and a magnificent colorful knife set. They offer everything from boxes of fancy pop-up note cards to chic furniture. Take a look. Enjoy the search.”

Dennis Gallagher of our East Hampton Office says the best gift he’s ever received was an audio version and a hard copy of the autobiography “My Name is Barbra” by Barbra Streisand. “A once-in-a-generation talent and a once-in-a-lifetime career in the field of entertainment. With her unique enduring personality, recording and film catalogs, long history of philanthropy as well as her political and philosophical  opinions, Barbra’s 80-year odyssey is “chicken soup for the soul”. What’s not to like!?!”

Lauren Battista of our Westhampton Beach Office shops locally for her preferred presents.  “My go-to place for gifts is Homespun in Quogue. Elizabeth Wilson, the owner, has great taste. She has clothing for all, including children. She has accessories and jewelry.  And, she has great gifts for the home. I use her a lot for gifts for clients.”

James Blueweiss visits Marder’s in Bridgehampton for intriguing holiday gifts. “Marder’s hosts a plethora of Holiday events and supplies during the holidays in their gift shop. From book signings to concerts, there’s always something special to be found.”

Clare Tenkarian of the Sag Harbor Office’s tried, and true gifts are boxes of sweet treats for friends and family. “My most well-received and go-to holiday gifts are custom boxes of homemade treats including pecan pie truffles, Christmas crack, peanut butter fudge, and baklava. Recipients are a variety of folks ranging from people at my favorite local restaurants to NYC executives and of course family and friends.”

Jane Holden of our Sag Harbor Office gets her loved one’s ornaments from Tiffany’s. “They’re much more affordable than one would think, and that little blue box is always exciting."
