New York City is easily one of the most picturesque destinations in the world. From the architecture, greenspaces, and landmarks, the city is filled with inspiring things to photograph, and there is no better time to do so than during the spring/summer. Here are some of the best places in New York City to visit when looking for the perfect setting to snap a picture!

Central Park

The Conservatory Garden has separate French, Italian, and English sections. The French Garden alone has 20,000 tulips during the warmer months, all in an intricate parterre surrounding the Untermyer Fountain with its three graceful dancers.

The English Garden has a beautiful lily pond with the Burnett Fountain dedicated to the beloved novelist, known for books like The Secret Garden and A Little Princess. The center Italian Garden has the most fragrant wisteria-covered pergola that is truly a sight to behold.

Just nearby is the 40-acre North Woods, the largest of the Park's three wooded landscapes and a bird lover's paradise. Strolling south toward the Great Lawn and the two peaceful and sweet acres of Turtle Pond, you will find the four-acre Shakespeare Garden, where winding paths take you to seasonal flora based on what was grown in Elizabethan times, with lovely plaques of Shakespeare quotes corresponding to the plantings. And yes, there are a lot of tulips!

Fort Tryon Park

If you go to the northern tip of Manhattan, you will discover the wonders of Fort Tryon Park with its three-acre heather garden. Here, will also come across the beautiful Metropolitan Museum Cloisters, which have their own gardens that serve as the perfect setting for a photo.

The High Line

When downtown, be sure to stroll along the High Line, built over abandoned railroad ties. The natural landscape that once grew there inspires its varied flora and fauna. You will find several garden zones that evoke feelings of being in a wild space. The Hudson Overlook between 14th and 15th Street has breathtaking views of the Hudson River.

City Flower District

If you are in the mood and near West 28th Street, start your day with dozens of blooms of countless varieties by visiting the New York City Flower District. Get a pretty bouquet and take beauty to your remote or IRL office.
