The Year Was 1963

By Sarah Burris

The Year Was 1963. John F. Kennedy was in the White House, Martin Luther King Jr. delivered “I Have a Dream” in Washington, and The Beatles were just beginning their rise. The Bell Jar was published, and Julia Child’s The French Chef debuted on television. It was a year defined by change and cultural momentum, with everything starting to shift. New ideas and influences were taking hold, setting the tone for what followed.

Here are a few BHS listings built that same year.
