Meet Lucille

The Darien Board of Realtors named Lucille D. Story a "2016 Realtor of the Year.” A panel of past presidents reviewed submissions from members of the Darien Board and unanimously chose Lucille based on her dedication to and passion for the Darien Board.

Among her many attributes, Lucille has served in many roles, including as the 1996 President and a Director of the Darien Board for more than nine consecutive years and as Director of the Connecticut Association of Realtors. She is a standing member of the nominating Committee of the Darien Board and has served as the Events Committee Chair since its inception. She has also been a mentor to numerous brokers in the ethical practice of real estate and has been a pioneer in the art of staging a home since the early 1980s.

Lucille has been a realtor in Darien for 38 years and is married to Larry Story, a past President of the Connecticut Association of Realtors. They have resided in Darien for 49 years and have raised three children, two of whom live in Darien. Her son, Lawrence Jr., has joined his parents as the newest team addition.

The 2015 Board President, M. Reese Hutchison, adds "Lucille has shown consistent and decades-long service as a professional realtor, in particular to the Darien Board of Realtors. She embodies all we strive for, or to become, as a Realtor Board member.”
