She and her family have had extensive real estate holdings and been active in development projects in the United States. Catherine has served on numerous committees and boards and has worked with City, State, and Federal officials and agencies on many issues crucial to the well being of New York. When the Governor of New York wanted a project for an economically depressed area of upstate New York, Catherine researched and assisted in the creation and establishment of a park for the arts which brought income to the area. Among the many organizations she has served are the Museum of Modern Art, where she was a member of The Contemporary Arts Council for many years, the New York Botanical Garden where she is a member of the Corporation, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Catherine has had homes in Tennessee, in New York City, in Long Island and in California.
Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Catherine has lived in New York City since she attended Sweet Briar College in Virginia. She received a degree in Business Administration from New York University.
