I first set foot in Brooklyn on a snowy Sunday in February 1972 after reading an article in the New York Times about brownstones in Brooklyn around Fort Greene Park. I bought a five story rooming house that needed more than ‘TLC’ and met my wife of 31 years - a friend of my new next door neighbor. We've owned 3 homes and raised our family in Park Slope and Brooklyn Heights.

I have been active in Brooklyn real estate sales since 1975 and a broker since 1978, when I opened Brownstone Properties. In 1982 I sold Brownstone Properties to the William B. May Company, which became Brown Harris Stevens of Brooklyn in 2004.

Having sold real estate in Brooklyn for over 3 decades, I have a broad experience in finding homes for buyers, and buyers for homes. But whether I am helping a buyer or a seller, I believe the importance of listening to the client is the key to finding creative solutions to their housing needs: finding a home with rental income to stretch your housing dollar for example, or converting an income producing residence to condo or co-op apartments.

While I have concentrated my efforts at the upper end of the market, I enjoy helping the first time buyer get started. Brooklyn neighborhoods are increasingly a family friendly alternative to the suburbs, and I have had the good fortune to forge lasting relationships with buyers who return as sellers, as their families grow, and housing needs change.
