Maria’s expertise in residential and commercial real estate comes from being both investor and broker.  Prior to joining Brown Harris Stevens she worked for a small boutique real estate office in Park Slope where she was consistently the top seller.

Known throughout Brooklyn as the “chicken lady”, Maria has pioneered the backyard chicken craze.  A self ascribed “locavore”, she has worked closely with Slow Food, Just Food and Added Value.

Maria was born in Pittsburgh, PA ,  and received her MSW at NYU.  She lives in Red Hook with her husband and three children.
