Stacey Gero-Kanbar joined Brown Harris Stevens in 2004 after ten years as a top producer at William B. May. She specializes in representing buyers and sellers on the Upper East Side (where she has resided for over 17 years) and has had extensive experience with both co-ops and condos. Stacey has represented a broad spectrum of buyers ranging from artists to investment bankers to celebrities.

In representing buyers, Stacey prides herself on her ability to quickly understand her clients’ needs, tirelessly previewing properties and pre-qualifying her clients (in the case of co-ops) to ensure that when it is time to show listings, her clients’ time is spent wisely and efficiently. Says Stacey, “If I show one property to a client that is not in the realm of what they are looking for, I haven’t done my job. That is the bar I set for myself with each and every buyer I represent.”

In representing sellers, Stacey utilizes her background in art to stage properties properly for sale by finding creative, cost-effective ways to ensure a property is shown in the very best light. She is also extremely connected in the brokerage community, and utilizes her extensive network to proactively seek out buyers.

Stacey graduated from the University of Michigan in 1993 with a degree in Fine Art. Upon graduation, she worked for Blum Helman Gallery, Leo Castelli Gallery and Christie’s Auction House before entering real estate. Although she is immersed in the world of real estate, she cannot ignore her love for fine art. Stacey continues to tour the wonderful galleries and museums this city has to offer. She resides on the Upper East Side with her husband, David and her two children, Hannah and Benji. Hannah and Benji both attend Ramaz. She and her husband are involved with the pediatric ER at Mount Sinai and also work closely with AMIT, a charity that helps educate underprivileged children in Israel.
