In this week’s BHS Agent Spotlight, we’re catching up with Chloe Chasanoff, who recently returned to Brown Harris Stevens after her time with the Magnetic Real Estate Team, formerly the Harris Residential Team. In her interview, Chloe reflects on what drew her back to the firm where she began her career and how its culture continues to shape the way she serves her clients. Born-and-raised in Manhattan with deep knowledge of the market, she also shares the experiences that shaped her path in real estate, her perspective on today’s market, a personal goal for the year ahead, and much more.
You were previously at Magnetic RE Team powered by Side, which was previously Harris Residential Team. What helped you decide to return back home to BHS?
Returning home to Brown Harris Stevens was the right move for me. I started here in 2018, and the firm’s reputation, culture, and long-standing presence in the market really align with the way I want to build my career. I feel that it’s the perfect place to continue growing and serving my clients.
You come from a real estate family. What drew you most to a career in real estate?
Both my grandfathers were developers, and my father works in commercial real estate, so I grew up around conversations about the business. Being exposed to construction, real estate finance, and different kinds of transactions sparked my interest at a young age. I obtained my real estate license while I was still in college, as I knew it was something I loved and wanted to pursue. I enjoy helping people find their perfect home!
Stepping outside a team now, if you had to say something that separates you from the 16,000 other real estate professionals in NYC, what would you say that is?
Being born and raised in Manhattan gives me a natural understanding of the city, its neighborhoods, and how the different markets move. I also focus heavily on building genuine relationships with my clients and staying very involved in every step of the process. I build a strong friendship with my clients—it’s not just about one transaction.
Favorite dining spot in Manhattan? What are you ordering?
My favorite restaurant in Manhattan is L’Artusi. I absolutely love the tagliatelle Bolognese, the roasted chicken with mushrooms, and the crispy Brussels sprouts. You can get a table if you put your Resy notification on!
What is one of your career goals you are looking to accomplish in 2026?
One of my goals for 2026 is to keep growing my business and expanding my client base across Manhattan. I’m focused on building strong relationships, staying active in the market, and continuing to establish myself as a go-to resource for buyers and sellers in the city. If you enjoy what you do, you just want to do more!
You work with high-net-worth clientele. What is the pulse right now for purchasing NYC real estate at the higher price points?
I have been involved in three bidding wars in the past two months! Overall, the sentiment I’m seeing is that buyers are still very confident in New York City real estate. They’re just being more selective—focusing on prime locations, strong buildings, and properties that are move-in ready.
Share something that few know about you.
In high school, I set the all-time school record for goals scored in women’s lacrosse. Unfortunately, my lacrosse days ended there, but I’ll always look back proudly on that achievement.
Share a photo from your camera roll that is meaningful to you and share why.
I recently was married at the Rainbow Room in NYC. It was an unforgettable experience. Here are two photos from my wedding day!
