Few addresses in America carry the cachet of Palm Beach’s oceanfront enclave. Fewer still have been home to European royalty.

For decades, a secluded estate perched on 1.24 acres along one of the island’s most coveted stretches of coastline served as the winter retreat of the late Prince Albrecht of Oettingen-Spielberg, whose family traces its lineage back more than 800 years. With sweeping Atlantic views, lush tropical grounds, and an extraordinary provenance, the residence represented the kind of legacy property that rarely changes hands.

Now, the storied estate has written its next chapter, selling for $30.27 million in a transaction represented by Brown Harris Stevens’ Liza Pulitzer and Whitney McGurk.

“The new buyer is going to renovate the existing structure and breathe more life into it,” listing agent Whitney McGurk, who represented the seller alongside Liza Pulitzer, tells Mansion Global. “It was seldom used by the former owner.”

Originally built in 1960, the six-bedroom residence spans approximately 4,675 square feet and occupies one of the island’s most exclusive waterfront settings at its northern tip, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Palm Beach Inlet. Surrounded by mature tropical landscaping and expansive lawns, the home offers a rare combination of complete privacy and panoramic ocean views, just minutes from the heart of Palm Beach.
“The house was always the ultimate beach house,” said McGurk. “Snorkeling, fishing, surfing, relaxing on the beach—it’s all right at your doorstep.”
