Neighborhood Stories

Stamford is unique in that it has such a wide array of options. It is not a cookie-cutter city with houses that all look and feel the same. There are homes built in the 1920s and ’30s that are full of charm and character with original period features, as well as new construction homes with modern finishes. If you prefer something in between, there are capes and contemporary homes to suit everyones taste.

The Stamford Museum & Nature Center holds a Fall Harvest Festival on Sundays in September and October, which is always a fun day out. While you are there, check out the farmers market for some local products including fresh maple syrup right from the Nature Center.

Bedford Street or Harbor Point are super fun for nightlife.

I like to support mom-and-pop shops that are off the beaten path. Cedar Corners Store is a little shop filled with a mixture of local flavor as well as general Connecticut finds.

The parks, the shops, the quaint restaurants, the topography and beautiful farmland, horse farms, and scenery make it a must-see perspective homebuyers. The sense of community is everywhere and so many revolutionary war sites abound please come and visit.
