Reputability, dedication, and honesty epitomize the work ethic that Denis Haxhija conveys every day. Born and raised in New York City, Denis' passion for real estate effortlessly stemmed from his family and neighbors, who consist of brokers, developers, and engineers. With a captivating eye for design and a strong marketing background, Denis knows what it takes to properly and uniquely showcase any home in an ever-changing housing market such as Manhattan's.
Denis works with East Side power broker, Matthew Hughes. Prior to joining Brown Harris Stevens, he worked at both a luxury real estate firm and a boutique law firm specializing in estate planning and real estate law.
A graduate of Manhattan College, Denis is a heavily involved alum who also represented the student body on the Board of Trustees. Throughout his time on campus, he oversaw the swift growth of the real estate minor and programs as well as hosted distinguished panelists, organized tours of some of New York's top developments, and led a partnership with CoreNet Global, an international non-profit association, all while serving on four different advisory Boards.
Outside the office, Denis loves to paint, play tennis, travel the globe, and volunteer with local non-profit organizations, most notably fighting food insecurity with The Friendly Fridge. An avid horticulturist, Denis can often be found hiking and volunteering at local gardens such as Wave Hill as well as working with his co-op's Board on landscaping and aesthetic affairs.
Denis lives in Riverdale, which he refers to as the "hidden gem" of New York, and where he currently serves on the Board of the Riverdale Main Streets Alliance. He is fluent in Albanian.
