Neighborhood Stories

Moving to the UES over 30 years ago I wouldn't have thought I'd still be within a ten-block radius of that first NYC apartment, but the UES truly has everything. Close to Central Park for long runs, every type of restaurant one could ask for, excellent schools for our now adult kids and beautiful architecture to keep each day filled with something new to see. My husband and I love our "little homey neighborhood" of the Upper East Side and can't imagine ever NOT living here.

Eastgate, a prewar tree-tree lined street on the Upper East Side, is just 10 minutes away- from Broadway & Carnegie Hall (via the Q), and a 10min walk to Central Park and the East River! Great restaurants, dog friendly boutiques, and great martinis at the many 5 star hotels off Madison Avenue. Why live anywhere else?

Ask any homeowner which is the best neighborhood in NYC. And you will get the answer “ the one that I live in”. It is a fact! Everyone lives in the best neighborhood in the City. But I can truly tell you that I LIVE IN THE BEST NEIGHBORHOOD “ in NYC. Come to the Upper East Side and feel its presence. It is vibrant, beautiful, has the best museums, restaurants, grocery shopping, schools, and classes. It really has a great vibe.
