The town of Lake Clarke Shores was named after its original 1897 settler, John Newton Clarke. Eventually incorporated on July 1, 1957, the town of Lake Clarke Shores rests just west of I-95 on both the north and south sides of Forest Hill Blvd. and due east of Florida Mango. The town hosts five community parks and recreation areas throughout its 667 acres including a public boat ramp, a Community park with pickleball courts, a Town Hall Park boasting basketball and tennis courts as well as a large children's playground. The true treasure of Lake Clarke Shores is the massive freshwater lake which incorporates 8% of the total town area and sits smack dab in the middle of the community connecting Lake Clarke to neighboring towns and lakes via the finger canal system. With more than 1,400 homes and approximately 3,600 residents, Lake Clarke Shores is known for its small town charm connecting neighbors through all sorts of annual events. The Town BBQ is a fan favorite but in addition to this BBQ, the town also hosts Food Truck Fridays, an annual 7K race, Holiday boat and golf cart parades, and an annual candle lighting event kicking off Hanukkah.
