About George

As a lifelong New York City resident, George has lived in Greenwich Village since the late 1980’s. He graduated from City College School of Architecture and Environmental Studies with degrees in Architecture and Landscape Architecture and later was an adjunct professor for the Urban Design Studio. He has worked in both the private and public sectors in the field of Landscape Architecture. George also worked for the Mayor’s Office until 2002 where he designed and managed priority projects for Mayor Rudy Giuliani and was NYC Parks Liaison to the NYC Public Design Commission and the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission...

He has worked in both the private and public sectors in the field of Landscape Architecture. George also worked for the Mayor’s Office until 2002 where he designed and managed priority projects for Mayor Rudy Giuliani and was NYC Parks Liaison to the NYC Public Design Commission and the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission for review of all capital design projects.

His knowledge of architecture, interior design and exterior spaces can help a client understand how slight modifications or renovations can be achieved to create a special home. As Vice President for 41 Fifth Avenue Owners Corporation, George understands the complexities of the cooperative application and approval process. He is also the Executive Vice President for the Lower Fifth Avenue Block Association and a member of the board of directors of the East 11th Street Block Association, an organization committed to the beautification of the neighborhood. George is passionate and committed to his community and has served on many boards such as the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation. He was appointed a public member for Community Board No.2 in Greenwich Village and has served on many community organizations. Through community involvement and professionalism, George has come to know and work with many influential cooperative and condominium boards, block associations, special interest groups, elected officials and high level government employees.

Prior to joining Brown Harris Stevens, George designed over two dozen parks in prominent NYC locations including Washington Square Park, City Hall Park, Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, Abingdon Square and Holocaust Memorial Park. Through his accomplishments in management and public relations, George has become a key speaker on civic awareness of public spaces and his remarks have been noted in numerous publications. His other interests include carpentry, painting, art and antiques, bicycle riding and adoring his dachshund named Troy.
