Marjorie Flannigan MacLachlan believes in the power and comfort of home and is passionate about helping others achieve their real estate goals. Known for her upbeat nature and dedicated attentiveness, she strives to make every transaction smooth and stress-free.

A native New Yorker, Marjorie attended New York City’s High School of the Performing Arts as a dancer. She then went to Georgetown University, where she earned her undergraduate and law degrees.

Before entering the real estate field, Marjorie enjoyed a successful career as an attorney. She practiced at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, one of the City’s notable global firms, for over a decade. She later served the Justice Department, overseeing compliance with a front-page tax case. In her pro-bono work, Marjorie dedicated her efforts to landmark preservation matters.

As with her legal clients, Marjorie acts as your advisor, advocate, and team member. A city mouse, Marjorie delights in offering recommendations of fun things to do and see throughout New York, from the latest ballet or art exhibit to hidden parks and gardens with which few non-locals are familiar. Loving New York so much makes Marjorie’s goal of helping others weave their lives into the City’s extraordinary fabric joyous.

In her free time, Marjorie enjoys life in the City (of course!) – spending time with family and friends, meeting new people, endless fine and performing arts offerings, life with her dog, and reading.

Marjorie has served on the Friends of the Upper East Side Historic Districts and the New York Landmarks Conservancy boards. She was a volunteer lawyer for many years at the New York City Bar Association and is currently an active volunteer in the Metropolitan Museum of Arts 81st Street Studio for children.
