A native New Yorker, Marjorie attended New York City’s High School of the Performing Arts as a dancer. She then went to Georgetown University, where she earned her undergraduate and law degrees.
Before entering the real estate field, Marjorie enjoyed a successful career as an attorney. She practiced at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, one of the City’s notable global firms, for over a decade. She later served the Justice Department, overseeing compliance with a front-page tax case. In her pro-bono work, Marjorie dedicated her efforts to landmark preservation matters.
As with her legal clients, Marjorie acts as your advisor, advocate, and team member. She works hard to ensure you receive her full attention and care, being diligent, informed, investigative, and always “for you.” What to buy or when and whether to sell are deeply personal choices, and Marjorie wants all and only the best for you. She shares insights and market analyses in ways that genuinely help your decision-making process. Marjorie works with everyone from first-time buyers to seasoned investors to estates across all price points in Manhattan.
A city mouse, Marjorie delights in offering recommendations of fun things to do and see throughout New York, from the latest ballet or art exhibit to hidden parks and gardens with which few non-locals are familiar. Loving New York so much makes Marjorie’s goal of helping others weave their lives into the City’s extraordinary fabric joyous.
In her free time, Marjorie enjoys life in the City (of course!) – spending time with family and friends, meeting new people, endless fine and performing arts offerings, life with her dog, and reading.
Marjorie has served on the Friends of the Upper East Side Historic Districts and the New York Landmarks Conservancy boards. She was a volunteer lawyer for many years at the New York City Bar Association and is currently an active volunteer in the Metropolitan Museum of Arts 81st Street Studio for children.
“Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again …. [a] place that lets you experience your own will and your own intention.” (Joseph Campbell).
Marjorie hopes you will consider her helping you find that sacred place. It will be a grand adventure.
TESTIMONIALS:
“Marjorie brought fresh energy to the sale of our home, which, after a year on the market with a different company, was a ‘tired listing’ in a down market. Her excellent aesthetic enabled us to show off the best features of our Fifth Avenue apartment. Not only did she market the apartment creatively, she engaged prospective buyers in a way that invited them to see themselves living in the beautiful space and light that the apartment offered. At the point that an offer was pending, her genuine enthusiasm and astute negotiating skills made the deal happen. Marjorie is a highly talented and positive individual. She is a joy to work with.” - Susan M.“I recently made my first home purchase, and Marjorie made the process as seamless and stress-free as possible. She was extremely knowledgeable, always available for showings, and able to answer all the questions I had as a first-time buyer. She was enthusiastic and excited, and clearly loves her job. Marjorie was able to guide me through the process and helped me when I was unsure about any aspect of the purchase. It was such a pleasure to work with her, and I recommend her without any hesitations!” - Sarah B.“Marjorie handled the sale of my departed parents’ apartments with dedication, tactical brilliance, and finesse. She worked tirelessly to market the apartments in a down market and kept the family updated every step of the way. Marjorie is resourceful, quick-witted, and an excellent communicator. Her business savvy is matched by her emotional intelligence. She worked with our family — still mourning the loss of our parents — with thoughtful and caring kindness. It is a joy working with her. Marjorie has it all. She is my NY real estate agent for life.” - Alison W.“As a first time home buyer, I looked for an agent who I could trust to be honest and forthcoming about any property that I was interested in. Thank goodness I found Marjorie! She was wholeheartedly invested in the process with me and guided me when I needed it. She told me when a property seemed overpriced in their maintenance fees and gave input on why she had reservations about a property. I needed her to tell me these things because I otherwise wouldn't have seen it if I was by myself. She is very responsive and works extremely hard to make sure she has done everything on her end to help you if there are any issues that arise during the purchase. Not only that, I really loved her friendly and warm demeanor. Her love for New York is inspiring and she transfers that same excitement to you. I loved working with her so much that I recommended her to a friend who was also a first time homebuyer. My friend loved working with her as well! Marjorie is the best! You'll be so happy she's on your side!” -Anna Q.“My husband and I decided to take advantage of buying our home in 2020 during Covid. We contacted Marjorie and within 3 weeks she found us our dream apartment with the location, size and price we were hoping for. As most New Yorkers know, co-op boards are challenging to navigate. Marjorie saw us though that process beautifully. She worked closely with us, the selling broker, and the co-op’s management company to make sure all the information needed was gathered and presented in the clearest, most engaging, and professional manner. She kept us in the loop throughout and, in the end, made it easy for us to get approved. We love our new home and feel thankful to have had a broker like Marjorie guiding us through it all! - Judy C.Awards & Recognition
