Karen Wolfe is a native Brooklynite and a lifelong Park Slope resident, two things she proudly boasts about whenever given the opportunity! With a lifetime's knowledge of the borough's diverse and unique neighborhoods and the special qualities of each, Karen is a great resource for all things Brooklyn. Whether you are looking for the neighborhood that's the best fit for you, information on local schools and after-school programs, youth sports leagues, or where to find the best sushi in the neighborhood, Karen will point you in the right direction. Being an active and engaged community resident helps to make her a compassionate and personally involved agent for her clients.

Karen's passion for real estate was ignited 25 years ago when she and her husband were buying their first home. Every house they saw brought with it some new discovery - whether it was learning about an architectural style, seeing a new design aesthetic, or discovering a specific neighborhood's amenities and uniqueness - Karen was forever hooked! She loved the process of looking for her "forever home" and shares that same enthusiasm when working with her clients today, both buyers and sellers alike.

Karen came to real estate from a 20+year career in film production, working as a Line Producer on television commercials, producing projects all over the world. Karen always worked tirelessly and diligently to assure that a director's vision was realized and that the clients were happy with the outcome. Whether it was finding the perfect location, art direction, or cast for a project - while simultaneously managing and keeping within a strict budget - Karen's honest and down-to-earth manner, calm demeanor, attention to detail, diligence, and astute negotiating skills are what set her apart in television and film production, and what she now brings with her to her real estate career.

Karen is an active member of the local community. For over fifteen years she dedicated her energy to the Parent Associations at her both her son's local elementary, middle and high schools. She is an active member of her local Block Association, and also a member of the Prospect Park Alliance, The Park Slope Civic Council, the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), the Brooklyn Museum, and the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. When not at work, you'll likely find Karen walking in Prospect Park (often with Ivy, the family dog), taking a bike ride down to Coney Island, or dining at one of her favorite Brooklyn restaurants with friends and family. Karen lives in the South Slope with her husband and has two grown sons, one in college in Boulder and one who is happily back in Brooklyn after graduating. During the summer when she has the time, you'll find her reading a good novel or doing a crossword puzzle on the beach in Sagaponack NY or on Shelter Island, her other favorite places in the world, after Brooklyn, of course!

Testimonials:

"Karen is an absolute dream to work with, whether you are looking for a new home or leaving your current place. We gave Karen a tall order: find us a new house to purchase and then stage, photograph, and rent our current apartment in time to close on the house and enroll our son in school in our new neighborhood. She delivered with skill, grace, speed, and good humor! Her sharp eye for detail, level-headedness, and true concern for her clients make her a breath of fresh air in this sometimes stressful process. Karen is truly the best!" - Heather G.
"Working with Karen exceeded our expectations in the selling of our longtime family home. She is professional, friendly, and easy to work with, as well as extremely knowledgeable about Brooklyn real estate and the discerning Park Slope buyer. Karen was incredibly helpful and compassionate throughout the selling process and offered us suggestions on how to best position our sale to maximize a high return. Since my sister and I both live out of state, Karen assisted us with the coordinating, hiring, and overseeing of various services to prepare for the sale as well as recommending an excellent NY-based real estate attorney. After just one open house we were thrilled to receive three strong offers, and Karen worked to negotiate the final selling price at $100,000 over the asking price. We highly recommend Karen to anyone looking for an agent who is smart, honest, and hardworking to sell their home." - Gina K. and Marilynne L.
"Thank you Karen. We truly appreciated your help in putting this all together. It was a very smooth process and we will gladly refer anyone looking to move into the neighborhood to you. " - Tom W.
"We have to say that we have never had such a great experience with any real estate agent as we have had with you!" - Eve Lyn & Ron M.
"I just cannot thank you enough for everything you did for me, both logistically and emotionally. You really held my hand throughout the process and were so reassuring." - Wylie O.
"Thanks so much, Karen! It was a pleasure working with you and we love the new place!" - Nina H.
"Thank you Karen! Doing the happy dance! You rock! After so many emails I wanted to send one that is a big Thank You. It was such a pleasure working with you!" - Mary R.
