With their well-honed marketing and negotiating skills, and through various market cycles, the Carsons have guided their clients to successful closings on properties of all sizes and prices, from multimillion-dollar apartments to small studios—uptown and downtown—and both co-ops and condos. Through the years they have built a large referral and repeat loyal client base.
Phyllis began her career in fashion and art. She graduated from New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology and headed straight to the garment center as a designer. After a career in fashion she tried her hand in her own business and opened a giftware shop. Years later, ready to move on and follow her passion, she dove into real estate with Phyllis Koch Real Estate, a highly regarded boutique company. She left after many years to join her husband, Jerry, at Brown Harris Stevens (then Halstead). Phyllis’ background in art and fashion has been an asset in her ability to creatively stage and present properties to their best advantage, and to have an eye for her client’s search for the perfect home. With her calm yet professional manner, Phyllis listens to her clients and capably smoothes the way to successful results.
The Carsons have been New York residents for over 35 years. Through the years they have personally and successfully bought, sold, built, and managed properties both in Manhattan and in the suburbs, bringing an additional element to their background.
