Associate Broker Robert Whalen draws upon a wealth of experience, talent, and skill to deliver exceptional results for his clients, whether they are buying or selling.

With a professional history that includes several years in financial journalism and several more in politics as the New York City Press Secretary for the State Comptroller, Robert understands the business value of effective communication and his clients appreciate how well he keeps them in the loop through the purchase and sale process. Robert believes his job as a real estate broker begins with a firm understanding of his clients’ objectives and needs. He takes the time and care to get answers to the important questions and, most importantly, he listens to and truly hears his clients.

Robert specializes in luxury condos and co-ops sales with a focus on the dynamic and fast-growing neighborhood of Long Island City, where he has lived with his family since 2007. A native New Yorker, Robert appreciates the unique character and charm that resides in each of the city’s many diverse and eclectic neighborhoods and his passion for real estate is evident to his clients. He clients find him to be a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and dependable advocate for their interests. Robert is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Real Estate Board of New York, and as such, he is held to and adheres to the highest standards of honesty and integrity.

"Robert has made my experience of a first home purchase not just painless, but exciting. He is experienced, responsive, transparent, and knows the LIC market thoroughly. He effortlessly navigated and coached me through the complicated process. I would trust him with my next transaction without hesitation." – J.Y.
“Robert went above and beyond in helping us find our apartment. He initially took us to a couple of properties we suggested and he asked a ton of questions to determine our needs/wants. Thereafter, he patiently found one place after another that fit our description. He knows the LIC market as well as anyone and we were often among the first to visit a property when it went on the market. When we finally found the place we eventually purchased, he was a huge help throughout the whole process in dealing with the sellers and even our lender and attorney. We could not recommend him enough and he will definitely be the person we call next time we’re in the market. Thank you, Robert!” -- Andy and Shay Georgalas
